They break and lose their luster overnight - and they look cheap even from a distance. These curtain tie backs are made from solid brass and they are made the old fashioned way. We pour molten brass into highly detailed sand cast molds - and then grind and polish the pieces by hand. The matching wall mount screws are solid steel - just like they were made a hundred years ago.
